12 Squadron Cadets Attain Achievements and Promotions

MCGUIRE AFB (March 4, 2019) – Twelve  Civil Air Patrol cadets in the McGuire Composite Squadron recently earned CAP achievements and received promotions in rank.

Cadets Caleb Daniels, Kendall Daniels and Alanna Hendrickson received Robert Goddard Achievements and were promoted to Cadet Chief Master Sergeant. The Goddard Achievement is given for successfully completing specific requirements of Achievement 7 in the Leadership Phase of the Civil Air Patrol cadet program. Goddard was known as "The Father of Modern Rocketry" whose research led to the patent of the first multistage rocket and many of the concepts that became standards in rocketry.

Cadet Lorenzo Diventura received the Charles Lindbergh Achievement and was promoted to Cadet Master Sergeant.  The Lindbergh Achievement is given for completing requirements of Achievement 5 in the Leadership Phase. Lindbergh was the first person to fly solo, non-stop, across the Atlantic Ocean, aboard the "Spirit of St. Louis." in 1927.                                                         

           

Cadet Michael Dolgin received the Col. Mary Feik Achievement and was promoted to Cadet Senior Airman. The Feik Achievement is given for completing requirements of Achievement 3 in the Learning Phase. Col. Feik was the first woman engineer in research and development in the Air Technical Service Command’s Engineering Division. 

Cadets Jonathan Bautista, Jessica Hoschek, Mckenzie Keedy and Jonathan Marshall received General H. H. "Hap" Arnold Achievement and were promoted to Cadet Airman First Class. The General Arnold Achievement is given for 

completing requirements of Achievement 2 in the Learning Phase. General Arnold is the founding father of the U.S. Air Force.

Cadets Luke Bailey, Philip Lopiccolo and Jakob Williams earned the Maj Gen John F. Curry Achievement and each received their first promotion to Cadet Airman. The Maj Curry Achievement is given for completing requirements of Achievement 2 in the Learning Phase. Maj Curry served as Civil Air Patrol's first National Commander.
